We have visited the restaurant several times. Overall, the food is quite good, but the quality of the same dish can vary, which can be disappointing. I highly recommend the Black Pepper Roasted Duck; its crispy skin, along with a little duck fat and tender meat, is fantastic. Most of their dishes are rich in fragrance from the stir-fried wok, a hallmark of authentic Guangdong-style cuisine. Additionally, they offer a variety of options, so you won’t get bored with the menu. However, the clay pot rice did not meet my expectations. The rice was not cooked properly; it turned out dry and chewy, lacking the desired fragrance from the ingredients. Furthermore, I found the seasoning of all the dishes to be a bit heavy for my taste. The restaurant is always busy, but the staff does their best to assist customers. I appreciate their service.

Went there for their unique flagship dish, BBQ duck with HK style black pepper sauce. The duck was well cooked and the sauce was pretty good, worth a try as it is different from other BBQ duck dishes in general. We also ordered seafood fried noodles and it was actually better than the duck in my opinion. Nicely fried crispy noodles, prawns, sea scallops, fish, squid and vegs all cooked to perfection. It was flavorful and yet, not salty at all which was a big plus. Overall, a decent spot to grab some above average food with above average value.

Great tasting Chinese dishes, friendly staff! This restaurant is a gem in the heart of the Mississauga Chinese Centre! My friends and I totally enjoyed our first dinning experience at Best Friend Chinese Restaurant!

Very traditional deco with the outside unique display of Chinese pavilion and some ancient Chinese statues, don't see them in other parts of GTA, enjoy the site before entering the best friend restaurant, ordered lunch specials, fresh and hot meals pretty good . Comparing with Richmond Hill, Markham or Scarborough, it is still not beating the best places, it is good enough we enjoyed the lunch there.

I had an incredible experience at Best Friends Chinese Restaurant! Out of nowhere, I had a strong craving for cucumber salad, even though it wasn’t on the menu. Chef Liu truly went above and beyond by making it just for me. He made sure it was exactly to my taste—fresh, vibrant, and perfectly crunchy. It was honestly the best cucumber salad I've ever had! The flavors were spot-on, and the quality was impeccable. This level of care and attention to detail really sets this place apart. I’m so grateful for the amazing service and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Love their sweet and sour pork on ice, it normally also comes with a fruit on top. It is so crunchy and delicious. The chicke hot pot soup is also tasty, with lots of flavor. Traditional rice clay pot is also amazing, as it is the perfect crunch from the slightly burned rice. Sometimes they have great promotion which is really great deal.

Love this place! Huge portions and super tasty food. Perfect to share with friends or family, and we always have leftovers to take home. Great value and friendly staff — definitely one of my favorite spots for Chinese food.

First of all, the hostess was one of the most pleasant and friendly person we have encountered in any Oriental restaurant. Period. She went out of her way to welcome, speak to us, even bought us Green tea while we were waiting at the entrance for our table. Ordered the Pepper Duck (was great. Favor and portion very good). Deep fried squids very good. Rice and noodles flavorful and good sized portions. Beer priced reasonably for most at $4 which is great. Hate the ripoff at other places which charge close to twice this. Service was polite as they were Chinese speaking (We're not). At the end of the meal, even bought us bowls of dessert which was a nice touch. Atmosphere is a bit crowded sue to the limited space. It can be quite loud inside (we didn't mind). Restroom facilities could do with a makeover and a little more hygiene (maybe a more frequent clean). Overall, loved it. Will definitely go back and try other dishes. To the manager of the hostess, she's a keeper. Give her a good raise this year end :-).
